Gulf Air commences flights to Maldives

The national carrier of Bahrain, Gulf Air commenced it’s flights to Maldives on Sunday.

Thoyyib Mohamed, Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) was present to welcome the Gulf Air GF 144 as it landed.

“Gulf Air will arrange five flights between Maldives and Bahrain”, revealed Gulf Air’s Chief Commercial Officer at Vincent Coste, along with the satisfaction that the airline is going to operate to a country with a booming toursim sector.

Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL)’s Acting Head of Operations Ibrahim Haneef stated that the beginning of Gulf Air’s regular flights would complete the range of services provided at Velana International Airport (VIA).

Gulf Air will utilize the Airbus A320neo to provide their services to Maldives. A special feature of A320neo aircraft is the capacity to reduce fuel usage through advanced technology.
