Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture has announced that a Fisheries Expo would be held to mark the occasion of Fishermen’s Day this year.
According to the ministry, the aim of this expo is to introduce various equipment and appliances used in the fisheries industry and make them more available for local fishermen, along with creating more awareness within the fishing community. The expo would create opportunities to advertise as well as purchase such equipment.
In addition to this, parties involved in producing products of processed fish would also get the opportunity to market their products during the expo.
The expo is scheduled to be held from 6th to 8th December and participation is open until the 28th of November.
National Fishermen’s Day is marked on the 10th of December every year.
