Universal donates 2 PCR machines to Ministry of Health

Male’, Maldives – Universal Enterprises has donated two Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) machines to the Ministry of Health of Maldives, in order to support the country in curbing the on going Covid-19 pandemic.

The Machines were handed over to the Ministry in a special ceremony held at the Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) on Tuesday evening.

In the ceremony, Health Minister Abdullah Ameen recognized the support provided by the management of Universal Enterprises and thanked the company and all personnel who participated in the assistance.

Minister Ameen also highlighted that the Ministry had previously also been supported by Universal, when the company provided the country with 20,000 test kits, adding that over the course of the battling the pandemic, additional support from various sources.

Maldives has been receiving immense support from individuals, companies and governments from across the globe in the fight against Covid-19, in the form of money, equipment and even specialized trainings.
