Male’, Maldives – Police reveals that an arrest has been made over a sexual harassment case in a pharmacy in the Male’ region.
The incident which took place some time during Thursday evening was reported to Maldives Police Service on the same day. Police initially only confirmed that such an incident was reported and that the matter was being investigated.
However, on Friday, it was announced that an arrest had been made of a 50 year old foreigner. The court has ordered him to be held in custody in a location determined by the Ministry of Home Affairs for a duration of 10 days.
Police are yet to reveal further details, however, assured the public that the matter is under investigation.
