Male, Maldives – A speedboat traveling to a sandbank near Kaafu Atoll, Kohdhipparu has capsized on Monday afternoon.
According to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), all seven people who were traveling on the vessel were unharmed during the incident. It is reported that there were seven local men aboard the vessel, who swam to the nearby sandbank when they got stranded at sea.
As Maldives is experiencing the harsh weather of the Hulhan’gu Monsoon, MNDF urges all travelers to exercise caution when traveling at sea.
