Male, Maldives – Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has announced a creative pitch writing contest to mark the International Youth Day (IYD) on August 12.
According to a tweet sent out by the ministry, the theme for the contest is the 2020 IYD Theme ‘Youth engagement for global action’, where the top three pitches will win a cash prize of MVR 5,000 each, in addition to any expenses required to carry out the project.
The deadline for the virtual contest is August 31st at 1400hrs. The topics for the contest are:
- Climate Change
- Financial Inclusion
- Youth Health
- Empowerment of Girls and Young Women
- Political Participation
- Volunteerism
- Education
- Migration
- Radicalization and Violent Extremism
- Disability and Inclusion
Youth aged 18 to 35 are urged to send their pitches to info.yd@youth.gov.mv before the deadline.
