Addu City, Maldives – Maldives Meteorological Services (MET) has issued a yellow alert for Addu City and Fuvahmulah.
The alert is issued from 19:30 until 23:30 of Monday night, during which heavy rain and thundering can be expected. Apart from this, the entire country may experience winds between the speed of 5 miles per hour and 18 miles per hour.
Seas are also expected to be rough during this time, due to which, those traveling by sea are advised to take caution.
MET office also suggests that some islands may experience wave surges during high tides.
