High Commissioners of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh present credentials to President

Male’, Maldives – Three new High Commissioner-designates to the Maldives, the High Commissioners of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, have presented their credentials to the President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Monday.

The High Commissioner-designate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E Vice Admiral Ather Mukhtar (Retd), the High Commissioner-designate of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka H.E Rohana Bedagge and the High Commissioner-designate of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, H.E Rear Admiral Nazmul Hassan presented credentials their credentials to to H.E President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, at a ceremony held on Monday afternoon at the President’s Office.

After the ceremonies, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih discussed the possibilities of strengthening the bonds between the countries, along with thanking the governments for their assistance provided to the Maldives thus far.

The President and High Commissioners expressed their keenness to explore further avenues for cooperation, to take forward our bilateral partnership, according to the President’s Office.
