Male’, Maldives – Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) has issued a white alert warning for most parts of the Maldives .
Expecting heavy rain from Noonu atoll to Laamu atoll, a white alert has been issued for this region until 14:00 of Tuesday.
Winds are expected from North West and West at a speed between 7 and 17 miles per hour in the country with the exception of southern atolls where wind direction will be from South and South West at the same speed. However, winds may go up to 40 miles per hour.
Seas are expected to be generally rough, with some islands in the central and southern part of Maldives likely to expect wave swells during high tide.
