Male’, Maldives – Maldives Police Service has started an investigation to look into the matter of a TV channel which broadcasted content, calling for the President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to be set on fire.
The official notice by Police read that the matter of a local TV channel broadcasting content calling for the President to be set on fire has come to the notice of the institution and that it is being looked into.
Although Police refrained from stating the name of the channel, “The Times of Addu” has acquired confirmation that the channel was “Channel 13.”
No further details have been released with regards to the matter.
