Male’, Maldives – A special email address has been dedicated for employees working in the tourism industry, to share their concerns with the Ministry of Tourism of Maldives.
The Ministry revealed on Friday, that the email was created for the employees working in the industry, after Minister Dr. Abdullah Mausoom met with the Tourism Employees Association of Maldives (TEAM). The Ministry urges anyone who may have concerns or suggestions regarding the matter to email team@tourism.gov.mv, which has the option to send in any emails anonymously as well.
This comes as some employers in the industry have been reducing the pay of staff, or removing staff from employment, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Such employees have been getting a special income support allowance by the government, at a rate of MVR 5,000 per month.
