Baa Atoll, Maldives — Kihaadhoo island in Baa Atoll opens a new children’s park on Friday.
The childrens park was developed by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment along with the Kihaadhoo island council.
The Vice President of the island’s council, Mohamed Shareef told RaajjeMV that the project to build a park was initiated three years ago. He also mentioned that the project was completed with the help of the cooperation of the youth ministry.
While expressing gratitude to the Maldivian government for the help, Shareef said that he hopes that this will only improve in the future.
He furthermore noted that they had also recieved assistance from various resorts in the region, as well as from the Bank of Maldives (BML).
The council official said while expressing satisfaction on the park’s location that both the adults and kids will gladly be able to enjoy the new day park. He also thanked the residents of the island for helping in completing the project.
