Malé, Maldives — The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) to be held on September 27.
The AGM will be held via the Maldives Securities Depository (MSD)’s online portal ‘ FahiVote’, according to MTCC.
The registration has been opened for shareholders and other relevant participants through the website infinity.mv or by emailing necessary documents to companysecretary@mtcc.com.mv before the registration closes on September 25 at 16:00hrs
The Board of Directors of MTCC had decided to distribute a dividend of MVR 2 per share for the year 2019 this June.
A profit of MVR 53.3 million was recorded by MTCC in 2019. This is an uptake of nearly double the amount compared to MVR 34 million in 2018. The company decided to not distribute any of their dividend on 2018 dividend due to low-profit levels.
Approximately MVR 145 million were made by MTCC in 2017 as profits of which MVR 20.6 million was distributed as dividends. This amounted to MVR 2.60 per share.
At present, the Maldivian government has a total of 64.2 percent of MTCC shares while the remaining 31.15 percent of the shares are held by the general public.
