Male’, Maldives – Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) has issued a white alert warning for atolls between Haa Alif and Lhaviyani.
MET revealed that between 17:10 and 20:00 of Sunday, harsh weather with heavy rains, strong winds and rough seas are expected in the islands that fall within this area.
With wind speed expected go as high as 40 miles per hour, seas are expected to be generally rough, due to which all vessels traveling at sea have been urged to take all necessary precautions.
Any incidents at sea should be reported to Coast Guard at 191 with immediate urgency.
