Male’, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has ratified the second amendment to the Audit Act, on Tuesday.

The amendment, which was passed by Parliament on 6 September 2020, at the 33rd sitting of its second session is intended to ensure that the Auditor General can perform their mandate independently, while adding safeguards against undue influences that would compromise the integrity or impartiality of the office.
