Installation of sewerage pipes in Hulhumale flats started

Male’, Maldives – Installation of the sewerage system has begun in the flats built in the second phase of Hulhumale’.

The task has been assigned to Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), and was inaugurated by the Chairperson of MWSC, Ahmed Mausoom and Managing Director Hassan Shah.

Under the housing project, 16 towers have been developed in which, 580 connections will made to these towers. A main network of 11,003 meters of sewage pipes, 283 main holes and two pumping stations will be built as well.

MWSC said that this project is expected to finish by the February of next year. 25,000 applications were received applying for flats which are to be issued in three categories.

The monthly rent of the flats built in Hulhumale during former President Abdullah Yaameen’s presidency have been said to go below MVR 7000 by the government.
