New Chief Judicial Administrator appointed

Male’, Maldives – The Department of Judicial Administration (DJA), has appointed Aishath Rizna as the new Chief Judicial Administrator of Maldives.

With this, Dr. Abdullah Nazeer, who was previously in the position has now been relived of his duties. The new appointment comes following an amendment brought to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) Act, which states that DJA will operate under the JSC when the amendment takes effect, and that a Chief Judicial Administrator must be appointed, upon which the previous position becomes void.

Applications for this position was opened up on December 5th, 2019. The appointment which will be valid for terms of five years offers a monthly salary of MVR 47,500.
