Dubai, United Arab Emirates — The largest airline of the United Arab Emirates, Emirates announced on Saturday that they have installed a self check-in and bag drop kiosks in Terminal 3 of the Dubai International Airport to let the passengers have a more seamless airport experience.

However, Emirates noted that this extraordinary service will not be available to customers travelling to the United States, Canada, China (Mainland), India and Hong Kong, as additional entry requirements are needed for those countries.

In order to provide the customers a more efficient experience -especially during peak periods-, a total of 16 self-service bag drop machines and 8 self-service kiosks have been installed to assist the Emirates check-in agents. Hopefully, additional self-service facilities will be added to improve the service more in the near future.

Meanwhile, the kiosks currently installed can offer the customers self- check-ins, receive boarding passes, choose seats and drop off their bags services. According to Emirates, these kiosks will be continually upgraded to offer new and better features including going touchless and allowing customers to make re-bookings.

Taking the current ongoing Covid-19 pandemic into consideration, Emirates made sure that these facilities are properly cleaned and disinfected regularly. They also ensured that hand sanitizers will be available for customer use at all times.

These new facilities have been developed by Emirates in collaboration with Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects and Dubai Airports as a part of Emirates’ continued investment in product and service, in order to provide the customers with an unmatched travel experience.
