President Solih to join the ‘Big Event for Mental Health’ by WHO

Malé, Maldives — President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be joining the virtual ‘Big Event for Mental Health’ event hosted by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The ‘Big Event for Mental Health’ will be held virtually on Saturday night on the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2020.

WHO revealed that the event will be attended by several mental health experts and celebrity guests, along with President Solih, where they will all be virtually joining the Director-General of WHO, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

The ‘Big Event for Mental Health’ will be telling the world “what we can all do to improve our mental health and how we can help make sure that quality mental health care is available to everyone who needs it”.

This virtual event lasting for approximately three hours will be available to Maldivian viewers starting from 1900hrs Maldives time through all of WHO’s social media platforms.

While the World Mental Health Day falls on October 10 of every year, this year’s theme “Move for mental health: let’s invest” will be largely focusing on increasing investments to provide psychosocial support.
