BML seeking supplier for 1,400 glass bottles

Male’, Maldives – Bank of Maldives (BML) has made an announcement seeking a party to supply 1,400 reusable glass bottles to the company.

As per the announcement, any interested parties are urged to clarify all relevant information with regards to the announcement prior to 21st October 2020 through email and apply bids on or before 11 am of 4th November 2020 either in person or via email. BML detailed that the bid document for the project has been made available on the bank’s website, www.bankofmaldives.com.mv

While the bank did not reveal what it plans to do with the bottles exactly, BML has been known to be a leading contributor towards a plastic free Maldives, having have opted for plastic free, reusable glass bottles at its facilities and all services provided as well. It has also been distributing glass bottles to local islands under CSR projects, such as the distribution of 1,000 glass bottles in Sh. Feydhoo, located up north, as part of its “Aharenge Bank Community Fund”, which is an initiative by the bank to empower individuals to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.

Every quarter, 5 winning projects are selected to receive MVR 50,000 to make a difference in the community, with an annual MVR 1 million earmarked under this project to work with passionate individuals and NGOs. Currently, Bank of Maldives is the largest bank and leading financial institution in Maldives, with a presence in every island of the country.
