National Drug Agency announces for a CEO

Male’, Maldives – National Drug Agency ( NDA) has announced a vacancy for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The announcement came as the former CEO of the agency, Hussain Shaheel resigned, making claims that he was being threatened by drug dealers. There have also been accusations of corruption on him at the time of resignation.

Shaheel was assigned as the CEO of the National Drug Agency back in 2014 during the presidency of Former President Yaameen Abdul Gayyoom. He was initially assigned the post for three years, but this was later extended citing good performance.

In the announcement released by NDA, it was mentioned that the duration of the position is for three years and that the remuneration would be higher than MVR 20,000.

Anyone who is interested in applying for the post and meet the requirements are to present their application letters to the NDA office before 13:00 of 27th October.
