Malé, Maldives — The Liesure Italian airline, Neos has scheduled to start their operations to Maldives within the upcoming month.
Tourism Ministry revealed on Friday that one of the most important tourist market of Maldives, Italy, will be restarting their flights to the island nation during either October or in the coming month.
Although, the ministry did not reveal an exact date in which the flights will resume their operation to Maldives, they informed that the airline to operate to Maldives will be the Neos airline of Italy.
Along with Italy, the top source market for tourists in Maldives, China, has also announced that their China Southern Airlines will be starting their operation to Maldives as well.
Other than these flights, seven more airlines have also announced that they will be starting their operations to Maldives as well. They are:
- Azur Air Russia airline from Russia
- Norwind airline from Russia
- Austrian Airlines from Austria
- Lufthansa from Germany
- Fly Dubai from Dubai
- Gulf Air from Bahrain
- GoAir from India
Out of these, Lufthansa, Fly Dubai and Norwind have announced their recommencement dates as 27th of October, while GoAir is set to restart flights on the first of November. Austrian Airlines is also set to fly to Maldives on the 25th of October, although Azur and Gulf Air are yet to announce a commencement date.
Maldives currently has scheduled inbound flights from a total of 11 airlines, from which the country has welcomed over 27,000 tourists since the international borders reopened on July 15. Having have earned a safe travel stamp by World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), Maldives continues to make the destination a safe haven for visitors from across the globe.
