Male’, Maldives – Following the resignation of one of its members, Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom) has announced a vacancy for the position.
As per the announcement made by the President’s Office, applications will be open until the 12:30 of 19th of November, for anyone who is interested and fulfills the following criteria;
- Be a Muslim
- Be a Maldivian
- Be above the age of 18
- Not have been convicted of a crime dictated in Islam or that of deceiving with in the past five years
- Not be in an elected or appointed position under the Maldivian constitution or law
- Not be employed in the Civil Service or in any State Owned Enterprise (SOE)
- Not have a financial interest from the communication and broadcasting industry
Application forms have been made available on the President’s Office wesbite.
The position became vacant following the resignation of former BroadCom member Zeena Zahir, just after her name was forwarded to the Parliament, for her to be removed from the Commission.
