Addu City, Maldives – A newborn baby in critical condition has been evacuated to Male’ the capital, from the southernmost atoll of Maldives, Addu City.
On November 02, the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) tweeted that a newborn baby who is in critical condition is being transferred to Male’ city from Addu City, via the Indian donated Dornier flight.

Due to Male’ City still being a high risk region of Covid-19 in the Maldives, transport to and from Male’ has been restricted by authorities on a need only basis. As such, transport between Male’ and Addu for medical purposes are also evaluated and approved for urgent cases only.
