Parks to be developed in 9 additional islands

Male’, Maldives – The government of Maldives has announced that parks will be developed in nine additional islands with the of the neighbouring country India.

This was announced by Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof in a tweet, in which he mentioned that parks will be developed in nine islands of Laamu and Gaaf Alif Atoll under the grant assistance of the Indian government.

These islands include L. Gan, L. Maamendhoo L. Kunahandhoo, L. Dhanbidhoo, Ga. Kolamaafushi, Ga. Dhaandhoo, Ga. Maamendhoo, Ga. Gemanafushi and lastly Ga. Dhevvadhoo.

In addition to this, announcements were recently made by Minister Mahloof for parks to be built in 31 other islands. The work of these parks are currently underway and this includes islands in Shaviyani Atoll, Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Noonu Atoll, Kaafu Atoll, Alif Alif Atoll, Alif Dhaal Atoll, Meemu Atoll, Haa Alif Atoll, Faafu Atoll, Dhaal Atoll and lastly Thaa Atoll. All these parks are being built under the grant assistance form the Indian government.
