Anantara Veli, Maldives – 5 star Maldivian resort Anantara Veli Maldives Resort has announced a $30,000 all-you-can-stay resort package.
While expensive, it is reasonable compared to other permeant vacation options available worldwide. The package offers a two-person overwater bungalow at the private-island for unlimited use over the next year, with airport transfers and breakfast thrown included.
The package also comes with a 25% discount on add-ons, which include Ayurvedic spa treatments, Maldivian traditional cooking lessons and water activities such as diving, snorkeling and surfing.
All rooms also have complimentary high-speed wifi, making it the ideal spot to ‘elevate working from home to a new level’.
With the government relying heavily on the tourism sector, and especially the luxury tourism sector to meet their financial commitments, such offers and their advertisement go a long way in stabilizing the economy.
The tourism sector has been gradually improving, with Tourism Minister Dr. Abdulla Mausoom tweeting out today that the Maldives recorded over 2,000 tourist arrivals on Sunday, the highest in a single day since the island destination reopened its borders back in July.
