Discussions held to establish juvenile home in Addu

Addu City, Maldives – Addu City Council and Maldives Red Crescent (MRC) have held discussions on Monday, to establish a juvenile home for vulnerable youth, who are susceptible to crimes.

In the meeting held with the City Council and the management of MRC, President of the organization, Ali Nashid highlighted and thanked the council for the support provided to MRC and clarified areas in which MRC would be able to assist the council in ongoing tasks.

Following Mayor Abdullah Sodiq’s comments on the ongoing projects of the council, the matter of domestic violence was also discussed, specifically focusing on providing psychiatric assistance to victims and their families.

Further, the matter of establishing a juvenile home for vulnerable youth who are susceptible to crimes were also discussed.

During this meeting, MRC presented Addu City Council with a certificate as a token of appreciation for the support provided by the council in various activities carried out by the organization.
