Meraki Coffee Roasters ranked as one of the best coffee shops in Asia

Male’, Maldives – Big 7 Media’s Big 7 Travel has ranked Maldivian owned Meraki Coffee Roasters at 25th on their top 50 coffee shops in Asia list.

Big 7 Travel said on their list that Meraki is the top specialty coffee roaster in the Maldives, describing the shop as “effortlessly cool”, and that they roast their own beans in house in addition to regularly changing up their menu.

They also recommended possible patrons to try the homebaked cookies that Meraki offers.

Meraki is on the list with numerous other coffee shops from Japan, Taiwan, India, Vietnam and many other countries known for their amazing coffee.

Meraki Coffee Roasters also has a 5 star rating on TripAdvisor, with the site ranking the shop as the second best coffee shop in Male’. Customer reviews on the TripAdvisor page are overwhelmingly positive.

In an interview to Hotelier Maldives back in 2017, owner of the Meraki Coffee Roasters, Mabrouq Azeez said that he always had a strong passion for gastronomy and coffee. His love for exploring and experimenting with coffee in search of the perfect cup, eventually led to the opening of Meraki, a full Maldivian brand, serving specialty coffee.

Mabrouq, who is trained by the Specialty Coffee Association of America mentioned in the same interview that they usually they carry at least 9 different nationalities of coffee offering a wide variety of choices for their coffee clients, and emphasized the importance of carrying Organic Certified coffee.
