Male’, Maldives — The Health Protection Agency (HPA) opens registration to get the Covid-19 vaccination in Maldives.

During a press conference, the spokesperson of Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) and the head of the Covid-19 task force in the Maldives, Dr. Nazla Rafeeg informed that the registration to get the Covid-19 vaccination will be open for everyone, with priority given to the frontline workers and social care workers as planned earlier by the center.

Dr. Nazla noted that they are uncertain of when the inoculation program will begin, however, behind the scenes work has begun with training healthcare workers and public awareness.

Dr. Nazla informed that the inoculation program will begin shortly after the aforementioned necessary tasks are complete.

We wish to vaccinate everyone as quickly as possible. However, it is better to vaccinate the people properly instead of hastily. HOEC will announce vaccination dates as soon as the preparations are complete.
