Malé, Maldives – Uz. Maryam Fezleen has been appointed as Assistant Prosecutor General and was presented with her letter of appointment by the Prosecutor General today.
Prior to her appointment as Assistant Prosecutor General, Fezleen served as Senior Public Prosecutor at the Prosecutor General’s Office. Fezleen began her legal career as an Assistant Public Prosecutor at the Prosecutor General’s Office on May 13, 2009, and has served in the office since.
The Prosecutor General’s Office, in a statement announcing her appointment as Assistant Prosecutor General on Thursday, described Fezleen as one of the most experienced prosecutors working in the office.
Fezleen has a Bachelor of Law and Sharia from Maldives College of Higher Education’s Faculty of Sharia and Law, and a Master of Comparative Law from International Islamic University, Malaysia. She has also attended multiple seminars and undergone multiple trainings in the legal field.
She joins Deputy Prosecutor General Mahmood Saleem, Assistant Prosecutor General Hussain Nashid, Assistant Prosecutor General Shamra Shameem, and Assistant Prosecutor General Abdulla Rabiu as senior officials appointed by the Prosecutor General.
