Male’, Maldives — The Maldives National Defence Force informs that there have intercepted a foreign fishing vessel in the Maldivian sea.
The foreign vessel was found 7nm west from Hdh. Naivaadhoo, in the Maldive waters. MNDF dispatched Northern Area Coast Guard Squadron to investigate on the incident.
The information about a foreign vessel in the Maldivian waters was reported to the MNDF Coast Guard at approximately 17:42 by a Maldivian fishing boat that was fishing in the area.
MNDF revealed no further details regarding the foreign vessel.
