Addu City Council meets with MDP’s Addu leadership

Addu, Maldives – Addu City Council has held a meeting on 7 March 2021 with members of MDP’s Addu leadership and MDP candidates contesting for Addu constituencies in the upcoming Local Council Election (LCE) and Women’s Development Committee Election (WDCE).

The current Mayor of Addu city Abdulle Sodiq addressed the participants at the meeting held at Blue Lagoon, Equator Village. He updated the candidates on the ongoing and upcoming developmental project in Addu city.

The meeting was held at the request of the governing party, Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).

The Local Council Elections are to be held on 10 April 2021, under HPA guidelines to implement safety measures against Covid-19.

While the upcoming Local Council Election (LCE) scheduled for the 10th of April, the Elections Commission has opened reregistration period from 2 March, 2021 to 11 March, 2021.
