Malé, Maldives – The President of Elections Commission (EC) Ahmed Shareef has resigned from his position.
In a tweet, Shareef stated that he has resigned from his membership at the Elections Commission with the comfort of knowing that he has served the country with commitment and honour for the past three elections.
Shareef promised that he will continue to serve the public in a different capacity in the future.
