President Solih extends his gratitude for Hulhumalé Covid-19 Facility volunteers

Malé, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih extended his gratitude for those who volunteered at Hulhumalé Covid Management Facility, helping the country fight against Covid-19.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih tweeted last night, thanking all those who volunteered at the Hulhumalé Covid facility, and helped with the Government’s health response during an exceptionally difficult phase of the pandemic.

He added that the whole nation owes them a debt of gratitude as the country looks forward to better days ahead as the Covid-19 situation gradually improves.

Maldives recorded 142 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday, with 51 of them being from Greater Malé Area, 88 cases from inhabited islands, 2 cases from non operational resorts as well as 1 case from Liveaboards.

This takes the total toll of Covid-19 cases in Maldives to 71,498. While the country recorded 65, 178 recoveries so far, there are 6106 active cases in the country. Maldives also recently recorded its 203rd Covid related death since the pandemic started.
