Waste Transport Station project assigned to Chinese company

Malé, Maldives – The government has assigned the Malé and Villimalé Waste Transport Station project to State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, a construction company from China.

The Environment Ministry announced that the designing, developing and material supply for the project was assigned to the Chinese company on Thursday. As stated in the agreement, the project is expected to finished within 1.5 years.

Environment Minister Aminath Shauna signed the agreement on behalf of the Maldivian Government, assigning the project.

The project worth USD 11.7 million is being done under a line of credit from the Asian Development Bank.
