Malé, Maldives —Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) informs that a fiber boat named “Mohiraa” from Hithadhoo, Addu City has broken into half today due to severe weather conditions.
MNDF reveals that at 07:11am today, they received information of a boat 8.95 miles away from North of GA. Dhevvadhoo has broken into half from the middle due to the severe rainfall and rough sea in the area. 25 people are onboard the vessel.
MNDF informed that they have sent MNDF SA, CG Squadron for rescue, while other boats have also traveled to the area to assist the people.
No further details were revealed regarding the incident.
