Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina gifts haribhanga mangoes to President Solih

Male’, Maldives – Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina sent 50kg of Haribhanga mangoes this Monday to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as a token of friendship.

High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the Maldives, Rear Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan handed over the gifts to the Chief of Protocol of the Maldivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aishath Shaan Shakir. Aishath eceived the mangoes on behalf of President Solih and expressed gratitude to PM Hasina for the special gift.

Prime Minister Hasina also gifted Haribhanga mangoes to the leaders of India, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka, including the chief ministers of West Bengal, Tripura and Assam. Haribhanga mango is a juicy and tasty variety grown mainly in the northern district of Rangpur, Bangladesh.
