Covid-19: no cases recorded in Addu City for 3 consecutive days

Addu City, Maldives – Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) revealed that Addu City has not recorded any new cases of Covid-19 for the past 3 consecutive days.

According to the latest statistics released by Addu Equatorial Hospital, there are currently 30 active cases of Covid-19 in Addu. This includes 7 cases in Hithadhoo, 22 cases in Maradhoo and 1 case in MaradhooFeydhoo.

In addition to this, the city recorded 6 additional recoveries yesterday, taking the total recoveries in Addu City to 524. Addu City recorded 2 Covid-19 deaths since the pandemic began.

The city was placed under monitoring on May 1, 2021, after an individual was found to be positive after consulting the Hithadhoo flu clinic in Addu Equatorial Hospital and had several contacts including high-risk category people. The island was removed from monitoring status on 19 July following the decreased number of Covid-19 cases in Addu City.
