Malé, Maldives – Minister of Foreign Affairs and President-elect of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid departs to Bulgaria on an official visit from 27 to 29 July 2021.
During the visit, Minister Shahid will meet with Foreign Minister Svetlan Hristov Stoev and hold bilateral talks to explore avenues for cooperation to fortify the existing bilateral relations between both countries.
Minister Shahid said that the meeting with the Bulgarian Foreign Minister includes discussing avenues for strengthening cooperation between Maldives & Bulgaria, as well as my priorities for the Presidency Of Hope.
Minister Shahid will also meet with the Minister of Tourism of Bulgaria and other senior officials from the Government of Bulgaria and explore opportunities to enhance cooperation in various sectors between the two countries.
During this visit, Minister Shahid will also share his vision for his Presidency of Hope and discuss his priorities for the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Minister Shahid is accompanied by the High Commissioner of Maldives to the United Kingdom, Dr Farahanaz Faizal and Third Secretary at the High Commission of Maldives to the United Kingdom, Mariyam Afnaan.
