Over 337,000 people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in the Maldives

Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed last night that more than 337,000 individuals have been fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus in Maldives.

Latest statistics released by the HPA shows that while 391,960 individuals have administered the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, a total of 337,293 individuals have completed both doses of the vaccine.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said on 21 September 2021 that 85 per cent of the eligible population are fully vaccinated against the virus, while over 95 percent of the eligible student population are also vaccinated against Covid-19 as well.

On August 02, 2021, Maldives initiated a large-scale Covid-19 vaccination program in the capital Male’ city and the atolls after the island nation procured enough Covid-19 vaccine doses to completely vaccinate all the residents in the country.
