National Security Committee Chair Aslam’s Addu City residence set on fire

Addu City, Maldives – The Maldives is investigating an arson case where the National Security Services (241 Committee) Chair and MP for Addu City North Hithadhoo constituency Mohamed Aslam’s home was burnt in an arson fire.

Police received a report at 08:45 today of the fire at the home of MP Aslam’s wife in Addu City.

Property damage was reported as the arsonist tried to set the home on fire by using gasoline on the doors and windows and igniting. However, due to the heavy downpour in Addu City last night the fire was put off resulting in no injuries.
