Addu City, Maldives – Addu Emergency Operations Center (Addu EOC) has informed that over 90 percent of the eligible population above 12 in the city have been fully vaccinated.
With this, the city has eased travel restrictions due to Covid-19.
- Special permits are no longer required for ferry travel between districts within Addu City.
- No PCR tests or EOC permits are required for air travel.
- Unvaccinated individuals are allowed to travel from Malé to Addu City. However, invididuals without two doses of Covid-19 vaccines must follow quarantine protocols.
Earlier this month, Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) informed that Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Maradhoofeydhoo and Feydhoo have been under monitoring status for the longest period of time to date in the Maldives.

The joint islands of Addu City were placed under monitoring on 28 August 2021, while Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo in Addu City were placed under monitoring on 4 September 2021.
