Malé, Maldives – Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture, on Monday, released a statement announcing the closure of the veterinary clinic located in Villimalé.
The Villimalé veterinary clinic was the first such service to be established in the Maldives in January 2019. The clinic offered surgeries, vaccines, neutering, microchipping and other treatments.
In their statement, the Ministry said that the clinic was being shutdown due to damages to the infrastructure of the building and opening of private veterinary services.
The clinic will be closed effective 1 January 2022 and will cease all services. To this end, the only services provided from the date of the announcement, 29 November 2021, will be for prior appointments for surgeries.
