Addu City, Maldives – A car cruising on the link road of Addu City has skidded and turned over, landing in the lagoon area next to the road.
The incident took place near Hira School, and five people are reported to have been in the four wheeler at the time of the accident.
Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) has reported that the victims were four males and one female, of which all have sustained some injuries. It has been further reported that one male has sustained injuries to the head and is currently under going further testing to fully determine the extent of his injuries.
It is yet to be known what caused the motor vehicle to turn over. However, Maldives Police Service is currently attending the scene and the vehicle has been removed from the lagoon.
