Malé, Maldives – A dedicated call centre for local councils has been established by the Economic Ministry.
The Ministry said this would ensure an easier connection between the Ministry and local councils, which would subsequently strengthen the services provided to the public by local councils.
As such, dedicated phone numbers have been established for local councils to contact the Ministry regarding business registration services and services provided by the Ministry concerning expatriates.

As per this special service, all information requested for by city, atoll and island Councillors as well as members of the Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) and Secretary Generals of Island Councils, via their personal mobile phones would be provided, said the Ministry.
In the event that a call cannot be taken, the call will be returned and the required information will be delivered before the end of the day, also detailed the Ministry.
