Addu City, Maldives – The new ambulance send to Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) by the Ministry of Health has been handed over to the hospital.
With the new addition to the fleet of ambulances under the hospital’s wing, there are now a total of four ambulances in the connected districts of Addu City.
This ambulance was among the 21 ambulances in the fourth batch of ambulances brought to Maldives by State Trading Organisation (STO) as per the contract entered by the company with the Ministry of Health to supply the islands of Maldives with ambulances.
Lack of ambulances has been a long term issue faced by the health sector of Addu City. Prior to the ambulance’s arrival, the management of AEH shared concerns over the lack of ambulances in the city as well.
