Addu City, Maldives – A freak roadside accident in Hithadhoo, Addu City involving a crane-pickup and a pedestrian has left one in critical condition.
According to local reports, the accident took place near Addu Equatorial Hospital, and that the pedestrian injured in the accident is a local middle aged-man.
Given the close proximity to the hospital from the crash site, the man was promptly transported to the Emergency Room for treatment. The individual has sustained multiple injuries, and is in critical condition.
Police are now investigating the cause of the accident.
