Malé, Maldives – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid arrived in Muscat, Oman on an Official Visit as the Special Envoy of President His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
According to Foreign Ministry, Minister Shahid will meet with his counterpart, Foreign Minister of Oman, His Excellency Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and deliver a letter from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq during the visit.
Minister Shahid would also hold discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as relevant multilateral issues and priorities.
During the visit, Minister Shahid will also meet the Minister of Heritage and Tourism of Oman, His Excellency Salem bin Mohammed Al-Mahrouqi, and hold discussions with the Oman Investment Authority, to explore avenues for cooperation in the areas of tourism and investment.
Foreign Minister Shahid is accompanied by the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to Oman, Mohamed Khaleel and the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fathimath Najwa.
