A man who was stabbed in Maradhoofeydhoo, Addu City has died earlier this morning while being treated in hospital.
The 27-year-old man died in the incident while being treated at the Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) for serious stab wounds.
It is learned that the deceased was attacked by his brother. The fight between the two brothers was over a drug issue.
A video of the injured man lying on the pavement has also been posted on social media. The young man died while being treated in the ICU.
Police said they received a report of the incident around 12:00am and are investigating the incident. However, police did not confirm whether the attacker had been arrested.
