Liverpool and United both added wins on to their belts while Arsenal settled for a draw during last night’s Premier League matches.
Another great win for Liverpool
The latest win for Liverpool was against Tottenham who is placed 11th, with a score of 2-1. The match started off with a lead by Harry Kane’s goal in the second minute of the game, although another strike at the goal by Son Heung-min in the second half proved unsuccessful.
With Heung-min’s unsuccessful attempt at increasing the lead, Jordan Henderson leveled up the scores in the 52nd minute and Mo Salah scored another goal by a penalty kick received at the 75th minute, establishing a lead.
With their latest win, Liverpool now takes the lead of the league with a total of 28 points while Manchester is 6 points short in second place. Arsenal now takes 5th place with 16 points and United places 7th with just 13.
Manchester United’s 3-1 win
Last night’s match for United was against Norwich City which places 19th in the league.
In this match where United played a fairly impressive game, they scored 2 goals in the first half by Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford. While the team also received to penalty kicks, both were defended by the Norwich goalie.
Another goal for United was scored by Anthony Martial in the 73rd minute while the only goal for Norwich was scored by Onel Hernández.
Arsenal’s 2-2 draw
Arsenal secured an exciting 2 goal lead right at the beginning of the match, both scored by the team’s defenders, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and David Luiz before by the 10th minute. But the lead narrowed down with a penalty kick scored by Luka Milivojević right before the end of the half.
Another goal at the start of the second half by Jordan Ayew leveled up the scores for both teams. Although Arsenal’s desperate attempt to score a winning 3rd goal was successful near the end of the match, the goal was cancelled after a re-check on the VAR
